情越情，心越心

从以前就很想写一些文章来抒发抒发情感，再用文章去表达这世界的爱恨情仇。

在你读下去之前，我想问些问题：“你有谈过恋爱吗？＂，“你明白爱之意吗？”，“你为何爱？”，‘又为何不爱？’？

有很多人，都已龄超二十，但也还未入爱 林。我非常想问他们：“你真的要等到你的白马王子或你的白雪公主，你才开始恋爱吗？”

爱情不能解，也不能明。你要敢去试，你才会知道，她/他是你的真爱吗。

不要去明白他/她，等你明白了，其实你已不爱他/她了。。。

为什么爱一个人要想那么多？你有爱过吗？你敢爱吗？你想爱吗？

你不爱过，你又怎知他/她不适合你?  

你有真正爱过他/她吗？

你可以为他/她付出吗？

究竟爱是什么?

爱是一种依赖，当你失去了，你会伤，你会痛。。

爱是一个不解之谜，你永远不会明白，也永远 不会有答案。

爱是一种态度，只有愿意或不愿意，而没有值得或不值得。

p/s: 本人已有谈过四次恋爱，不算少，但对你来讲，四次算多吗？

Do you have dreams?

You have dreams, don’t you? All of us do. What’s yours?

Does having a cool and luxurious car make the list?

How about owning your own house/condominium?

I believe most students have thought about it before. But, most of them would not have written it down because they think they can’t afford it. To them, it is something long and far away, something that is not up for planning yet.

We have dreams. Dreams should be written down and not just some thoughts on our minds that fly away in the next minute. If we don’t write it down, we will never know when we can achieve it.

If you want to buy a car, ask yourself, “When can I afford it? Is it after graduation or now?”

For even greater desires, “When can I really have a chance for it? How long it will take for me to have the ability to buy it?”

You know the math; it is not easy for a Singapore fresh graduate to afford these luxury products. Nowadays, I can say it is almost impossible for a normal fresh graduate student to afford it. Why? Look at the case below:

Example: Honda Civic
Price: $125,900SGD
Down-payment: $12,590SGD (10%)
Loan Term: 7 years
Monthly Instalment: $1526

A normal Honda Civic will cost you $1526 per month. Some think it is affordable with a salary of 3-4k. Really!? Think again. That is half of the monthly salary. What about other expenses?

I don’t have to show the cost for housing. It is nightmare for a normal fresh graduate.

Here is a food for thought – How much one can earn with a good degree? Millions? Billions? or maybe just thousands, the smallest measurements for a decent salary.

I am here to emphasize on this, if you really want to achieve your dreams, plan for it TODAY! Don’t wait until you graduate or your first pay-check. It won’t buy you anything but your favourite meal.

Most people think that they have a degree and they can be comfortable with rest of their life. But, is it really the case? Please look around and see how many people around you are holding a degree? So, ask yourself, “What’s makes me different from them?”, or on a deeper level – “How do I differentiate myself?”

You have to know that in the age of information, a good business is worth billions, a good idea is worth millions, but a good degree is only worth thousands.

Can you see the difference now? Still keen on pursuing your dreams?

Write them down and plan for the journey now. Understand what you are working towards and why you are working for it.

1000 failures and 1 success

One day, God comes and ask me: “Do you want to be successful?”

I am surprised and say: “Sure I want!”

God says: “I will give you two choices now. First one, you need to face 1000 failures in one year. Second one, you need to face 1000 failures in 10 years.”

If you were me, which one will you be choosing?

In reality, we always have this kind of choices and we usually will go for the later one. This is because we are trained to be like that since small. Just like our education system, how many failures can we have in our high school, secondary school and university life? Twice in a year? Yup, those are when the exams come.

I think everyone knows that getting a degree in 21st century won’t really make u a better person. But, why are we still doing so? Do you think a degree can really make you richer or happier?

Sometimes, it is really hard to make 1000 failures in 10 years. But, how about 1000 failures in 1 year? If you can find 1000 failures in one year, success is just around the corner.

Without failures, success is valueless because you won’t appreciate it.

Without successes, failure is valuable because you will work harder for what you going for.

无题

我非常喜欢的一首诗 。。。
昨夜星辰昨夜风， 
画楼西畔桂堂东。 
身无彩凤双飞翼， 
心有灵犀一点通。

解释：身上没有彩凤那双可以飞翔的翅膀，心灵却像犀牛角一样，有一点白线可以相通。 

赏析：诗人这两句诗显然是在写自己的爱情遭遇。他同自己的爱人分处两地，不能相见，所以说“身无彩凤双飞翼”。尽管不能相通，但两人在思想感情上却早已契合、沟通，“心有灵犀一点通”即指此而言。下句常为后人所借用，但已不限于指爱情。古书记载，有一种犀牛角名通天犀，有白色如线贯通首尾，被看作为灵异之物，故称灵犀，“一点通”的想象也由此而来。清人冯舒说：“次联衬贴流丽圆美，‘西昆’一世所效。”（见《瀛奎律髓汇评》），可见其影响之深。 

‘心有灵犀一点通’现在常用于形容情人之间心灵相通，比如说对于某事物的看法异口同声、解决问题的方法都想得一样。

想说

寂寞并不好受。没有爱情的世界，人是静了，时间是多了，但心是谈的。

嘴里时常都说，我不会再谈恋爱了，多几年吧，可心里都会想着 - 真想谈一常要生要死，至死不渝的恋爱。

心是住了个人，

很想说，我很爱你。

很想说，我很喜欢你。

很想说，可以做我女朋友吗？

很想说，我可以追你吗？

现在呢，很想爱，想恨，想念，想放，想思。

有人说，爱情知不过如此。是的，爱情是简单的，不需要解释的。真要解释的爱情是不应被喻为爱情的。

只有经历过，才能理解，为何爱，为何不爱，为何恨，又为何伤，为何念，又为何而痛。

年轻吗，就应面对爱情，你总会有欢喜的女孩或男孩吧，不要等，去追她/他吧，千万别等到老了才去爱。

人生自古谁无爱，早爱迟爱都要爱。

            也不知怎的，心又来了。。。

            来了新加坡也快两年了，突然觉得时间过得太快了，这才发觉很多时候都是一个人过的，很多事都是自个儿解决。这里的生活其实也不太快乐，每天起来总有一大堆还没做完的事，还没读完的书，还没时间理的烦恼，身边的每个人都一样，不是这个忙，就是那个烦，最后搞到一大堆的压力压在自己的身上。这样的生活会快乐吗？

            最近做了些小生意，生活也比平常忙几倍，再加上学业和课外活动，人快要疯了。对现在的我来说，最开心莫过于拿包薯片吃着，坐在床上看爱情公寓了。看电视剧时真的是最轻松了，没什么需想的，只需看吧了，虽然很耗时间，但人总要轻松轻松，不然真的会疯的。不要真应为学业或工作而把自己最喜欢的娱乐给遗忘了。

            以前的我很执著于赚钱，但经过了这几个星期的经历，才发现金钱与喜欢是要平衡的，反之你真不会快乐的。现在的学生都在做些自己不喜欢的事，真想问下有哪个真的喜欢做工程师呢？爸妈叫的，朋友说好的，跟潮流选的，有真心问下自己你真的喜欢吗? 你知道做些什么吗？每个人都知工程这行业可以赚很多钱，但 ---- 你会喜欢吗？

            钱啊，谁不想赚，但又有多少人会赚呢？

            快乐，谁都想要，但又有谁能拥有呢？

Learn and Do, Think and Act

      教育是要钱的，但知识是免费的。

            有没有想过你是为了什么而读书吗？金钱？知识？身份？前途？或是你父母要你读呢？

            如果真要成为一个有钱人，教育并不能为你带来这一切。一张像样的文凭值多少钱呢？三千？

            一般来说，这张文凭只会为你带来千位数的薪水值 – 薪水最低衡量价值。值吗？四年的辛苦，汗水，压力，忘眠，少食，多啡。。。

             Our age nowadays is called “Information Age” or “iAge”. You know why? This is because we are always bombarded with Information. But why it is called “iAge”? This is because our age now is not about people around you, but is about yourself around other people. 

             Lots of the students do not know why they are studying or what are they studying. Engineering, Science, Arts, Computing… Like what I stated before, education is paid but knowledge is free. We can get whatever we want to know with no cost. But why are we still paying for education when knowledge is free? Is it because of education can guarantee us to get a job? With good knowledge but no education means we can’t get a job? I feel like this has become a theory in the Information Age now. A good degree means for a good job. However, is it really true?  

            How much one can earn with a good degree? Millions? Billions? No, but thousands, the smallest measurement for salary. Nowadays in Singapore, a normal HDB can cost minimum $300k or maximum to millions SGD. With just thousands salary per month, do you think we really can afford such an expensive accommodation? I will do the maths here:

 $300,000 for a 3 room HDB

Down payment 20% = $60,000

After DP = $240,000

10 years loan from bank = $2,000 per month (without interest from bank)

15 years loan from bank = $1,333 per month (without interest from bank)

 A $300,000 HDB – the smallest and cheapest HDB in Singapore have to cost $2000 per month for a 10 years loan. Can I ask how much a graduate student starting pay? Average starting pay should be around $2800 or maybe lower. So, after $2000 of housing payment, $800 left for monthly expenses?

           

          How about a car? Recently, Singapore COE (above 1600cc) has increased to $69,000. This means a Honda City will cost you $90,000. Okay, I will do the maths again.

$90,000 for Honda City 1.5 (A)

Down payment 10% = $9,000

After DP = $81,000

7 years loan from bank = $1091 per month (after 1.88% annual interest rate)

10 years loan from bank = $802 per month (after 1.88% annual interest rate)

 I have really no idea how to pay $1000 per month for my car when my starting pay is just $3000 on average. Can you?

         There are still lots of calculation will involve in our paycheck – CPF, income tax, inflation rate and etc.  How much it will leave after so much of money-sucking scheme? Can you survive with the only-left salary?  

           

         Just want to say, surviving in Singapore is not easy. If we don’t do something else different from what we are doing now, we will fall into this trap that no one can imagine. I am not writing with what I have learned in school because school won’t teach us street knowledge but paid knowledge.

         Learning is the process of being rich; doing is the process of getting rich. Learning without doing is the same as thinking without acting. Learn and think, do and act.
